The closed-cell Polystyrene (PS) material has a water vapor transmission rate (WVTR) of less than 0.1 perms, effectively sealing off concrete or block walls. Unlike foam boards that crumble, our PS panels combine rigidity with flexibility-they won't crack or disintegrate when exposed to fluctuating humidity. The panels also resist alkaline attack from concrete, preventing efflorescence from bleeding through. Install them with moisture-resistant adhesive directly over sealed or unsealed concrete (with proper drainage consideration). The result is a dry, odor-free, and finished-looking basement wall that also adds a subtle 3D decorative pattern.
