The base material consists of polystyrene (PS); prior to production, a specific proportion of toughening agents, fillers, and stabilizers is typically added to enhance the material's impact resistance, heat resistance, and processing characteristics. A mixing system is employed to thoroughly blend these various raw materials, thereby ensuring stable and consistent performance during the subsequent extrusion process.
The molding stage constitutes the core step in the manufacture of PS skirting boards. The blended raw materials enter an extruder, where they undergo melting and plasticization under high-temperature heating conditions, before being extruded through a specifically shaped die to form a continuous profile. The material is then rapidly solidified using a shaping and cooling device-such as a water tank or cooling rollers-to form a semi-finished skirting board with a standard cross-section, while a traction mechanism maintains dimensional stability.
The final stage involves surface treatment and finishing. Following the molding process, the PS skirting boards undergo surface treatments tailored to specific design requirements-such as wood-grain heat transfer printing, lamination, or spray coating-to enhance both their decorative appeal and abrasion resistance. Subsequently, the boards undergo processes such as precision cutting, quality inspection, and packaging to ensure dimensional accuracy, surface quality, and visual consistency, ultimately yielding a finished product ready for construction and installation.
